Description: St. Louis Green Fractured Base Decatur - This Fine Decatur is made from St. Louis Green Chert. It was found in Gallatin County, Kentucky.  It was out of the Peter Allen Collection and found by Gary Leap, Peter's hunting partner.  Gary found in after the flood of 1992 about 10 miles South of Falmouth, KY along Richland Road.   It has nice flaking and is quite thin.  The base is fractured and lightly ground.  This piece has a COA on it when I acquired it mistakenly identifying the material as Breathitt Chert, an easy mistake on much of the St. Louis.  Ex- Peter Allen, Ex- R.
