Description: Massive Kentucky Greenstone Celt - Found in Bourbon County Kentucky off Paris Pike Between Lexington and Paris, KY near intersection of Hutchinson Road and Bryan Station Road.  It was found in March 2011 by Larry Brewer who was doing concrete work in the area and had been granted permission to hunt "arrowheads" after work.  This is an Exceptional Celt that has been pecked and shaped from a large cobble and polished entirely.  It has a fine, well shaped bit.  The overall symmetry of this Celt is Very Good.  It is a Whopping 13 1/2 inches long and weighs approximately 4.75 lbs.

Description: Kentucky Hardstone Pole Celt - This Kentucky Celt is of the tapered "pole" variety.  It was found in Fayette County Kentucky.  It is a well made Celt with nice shape and symmetry. (see photos)  The pole end shows "pecking" from when it was shaped and it flares into a nicely polished bit.  This piece was purchased in a group of artifacts on a board which hung in Green's Filling Station on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington, KY, where Ramsey's Diner now stands, from around 1940 until around 1974.  It was then purchased by Prewitt Breeze.
